Italian production site

The success of the company is also down to a production facility of modern conception based on hi-tech work projects.

Just like a series of gears that make up an efficient machine, the Italian production site is comprised of several bodies that work together on an ongoing basis to ensure the smooth running of all activities, from the selection of a supplier to machining scheduling.

Production know-how is ingrained in Zenit’s history.

Machining operations are carried out using modern precision NC machinery operated by experienced workers whose skills are updated on an ongoing basis. This machinery ensures exceptional levels of quality and production output and includes the Mazak machining centre, a new-concept system capable of autonomous multitasking activities.

Experience acquired over the years, coupled with the use of the most advanced technologies, has led to high figures in production output and consistent quality over time.

The painting process takes place at two separate painting plants: one for domestic products and one of recent construction for professional products. The new industrial technologies of this plant and the experience of the workers together create a product of exceptional quality. Before painting each product is subjected to a microsanding treatment to clean and roughen the surfaces and so make them more receptive to the twin component emulsion applied with a generous thickness.  The product is then fired in a kiln at a high temperature to set the paint on the metal body and ensure reliable protection over time.

To optimize workflow and corporate resources Zenit Italia has divided product assembly activities into two different lines. Small products go to the semi-automated line, while industrial products are assembled by specialized workers at fixed work stations.

Both assembly lines feature quality control equipment systems: pressure testing will prevent any loss of any gaskets and mechanical seals, and electric tests ensure the quality of the connections and the winding.
